2026 Announcements
We have formalized our policy for providing final keep/drop files to vendors. Our standard policy is to provide sample vendors with a single, final reconciled keep/drop file after field closes and final data cleaning is complete. This ensures we do not pay for responses that will ultimately not be used in the analysis.
Please take a few minutes to review the policy. This new documentation also contains boilerplate language that you can share with vendors should they request final respondent IDs before data cleaning is complete.
We now have a final Partnering with Gradient document! This can be found in the Business Development drive.
The goal of this document is to introduce clients (or potential clients) to what it would be like to partner with our team. It prepares them for:
- What to expect from us during their project (e.g., that we have dedicated teams per project, our collaboration channels),
- What we expect from them (e.g., feedback management, timely approvals),
- What stages their project will go through and why they matter, and
- What the outcome from each each stage is.
Please download the document PDF and attach for your client. Don’t share a link to our Drive or to the working Google Sheets version.
If you have any edits, please connect with Amy.
A new handbook folder dedicated to AI Usage has been created. Currently, we have one page outlining Gradient’s AI Usage Guidelines. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the content.
Over time, we will add more pages to capture what we use and how we use it, best practices, skills and plugins, how we use it to support our coding, Gradient’s POV on AI analyses, and more.
If there is any specific AI-related content you’d find useful to be a part of this new folder, please let Amy and Stefan know. Thank you!
We have added a new step to the Project Startup Workflow: Set Up AI Project Folder with Materials.
The goal of this new step is to intentionally integrate ChatGPT earlier in the project startup workflow in a way that reduces drudgery / manual labor and improves efficiency and consistency in reaching a Gradient-authentic v1 without undermining Gradient’s human-centered custom survey approach.
Jira issue OP-2601 captures Brendon and Stefan’s initial thinking around this, which has resulted in this implementation.
The new startup step walks you through the process of creating a project folder within ChatGPT, sharing it with the team, and adding training materials so that it can immediately begin operating as a “Gradient-smart” intern on your project.
The materials you will upload to ChatGPT shared folders include:
- Gradient’s standard AI starter kit: Consolidated AI & LLM Materials.pdf, containing: a. LLM Personal & Project Instructions b. LLM Deliverables Examples c. LLM Email Examples
- Project-Specific Core Docs (SOW, background material, etc.)
Additional work may be forthcoming around AI implementation in project work, for now please begin using shared folders during project startup.
