90 Day Plan
The 90 Day Plan is to be used by New Hires and their managers as a tool to outline training goals within the first 90-days of employment. This document relates to the training issues assigned in Jira, and provides added context around how we break down your first 90 days into stages with distinct focuses.
The template lives in the Gradient template library. Don’t forget to make a copy and resave before filling it in. Please visit this page to learn more about how to use the Google Suites template library.
- New Hires are responsible for ensuring they understand the training goals and expectations laid out in this document. If there are any questions, New Hires should take the initiative to connect with their manager or Gradient Guide in order to get the information they need. They are responsible for completing all training items within their first 90 days or establishing a plan to do so if additional time is needed.
- Managers are accountable for ensuring New Hires understand the goals and standards they are expected to achieve for their role, providing adequate support, and giving timely feedback.
Note
Jira remains our primary communication tool. While this document outlines your training focuses, any questions or general progress tracking should take place directly on the training issues assigned to you there.
- Duplicate the template to use for your own 90 Day Plan. Connect with Operations to place it in the correct location on the Shared Drive.
- Fill in the “Summary” section.
- Thoroughly review the training stage progression we have outlined.
- With this stage progression in mind, look through the training issues assigned to you in Jira—they will be in the Operations project under a unique release for your individual training.
- Keep this document top-of-mind throughout your first 90 days, reference the stages and goals as often as you need to.
- Maintain alignment on your progress with your manager and Gradient Guide through regular check-ins. Take the initiative to seek more support when you need it, schedule check-ins, ask questions, and own your training progression.
- Document any additional training or projects you would like to take on past your first 90 days in the “Further Training” section. Schedule a meeting with your manager to review these items.
